I was back up in Minnesota this weekend to photograph my college roommate's wedding and WOW guys. It was such a joy. Whenever Nate looks at Kristi there are almost literal hearts floating out of his eyes and that makes my insides squeeze with happiness. It's pretty obvious by Kristi's giant smiles that her insides were doing the same thing. They are a couple so full of happiness that flows out of their love for each other.
It was a crisp Autumn day with bright skies, perfect for their intimate outdoor ceremony. Almost everything about their wedding was untraditional and I loved it. In fact, Kristi's dress was a vintage find we had found together thrift shopping 9 years earlier! They had a bonfire with drinks and food at their home and it fit their personalities perfectly.
I love weddings, because deep deep down (shh, don't tell anyone) I'm a hopeless romantic. Getting to shoot weddings is an honor. I know it's a big deal to trust someone with your big day. I'm grateful to have been the wedding photographer on scene for this one, because they were so stinking cute. (And of course because I love them too.)
